  I liked this mascara for every day wear, as it wasn’t overly dramatic but still adds volume and length with rich black color. It holds up nicely for the length of the day, but will smudge in very humid weather or during a workout (yoga) and this was after at least 8 to 10 hours of no-smudge wear. I use one coat on the top and bottom lashes and find that’s enough for me, but to add extra volume, two coats is sufficient and it doesn’t get clumpy. I also like the brush, which makes it easy to apply the mascara to the bottom lashes. The mascara has a distinct smell, which wasn’t unpleasant and reminds me of witch hazel. My mom liked the performance of it as well, however also found that after a long 15+ hour day, it did smudge. In both of our cases, it didn’t flake or crumble, leaving mascara crumbs on our faces as some other brands have in the past.

  The ad copy isn't wrong - this mascara does the best job of lengthening and thickening my "puny lashes" of any natural product I have tried. It holds up well through a moderately sweaty workout, but it will smear if it rains on your face!
