After testing more than 1,800 beauty products, OEKO-TEST magazine recently released their 2009 Cosmetic Manufacturer Review. Laverana, the manufacturer for Lavera and LAVERÉ, again took top spot, ahead of manufacturers of brands such as Weleda, Dr. Hauschka, Dove, Aveda, Kiehls, and Avon.

KIRKLAND, Wash (PRWEB) December 8, 2009 -- For the 2nd straight year, the influential German consumer advocate magazine, OEKO-TEST, gave cosmetic manufacturer Laverana, with its brands Lavera and Lavere, the highest marks in its 2009 review of natural and mainstream cosmetic companies. OEKO-TEST magazine, which translated means Ecological Test, evaluates a wide range products for public health and safety. Its closest equivalent in the US would be magazines such as Consumer Reports or Good Housekeeping, which also perform independent product testing.

In November 2009, after a review of over 1800 cosmetic products, OEKO-TEST awarded Laverana the highest score out of 36 companies tested, beating out the likes of 2nd place Weleda, 3rd place Wala (Dr. Hauschka) and mainstream manufacturers such as Estée Lauder and L’Oréal. This comes on the heels of the 2008 study, in which OEKO-TEST awarded Laverana the highest score out of 33 manufacturers.

"That Laverana and its brands Lavera and Lavere came out at the top of the pack again, ahead of such noteable brands as Weleda, Dr. Hauschka, Chanel, Aveda, L'Oréal, Dove and Kiehls, is no small feat, and illustrates again the commitment of Laverana to the purest, safest ingredients without any compromises for its brands Lavera and Lavere", says Ulrike Jacob, CEO of Lavera Skin Care North America, Inc. "In November 2009, Lavera celebrated its 22nd year of commitment to the highest quality skin care and cosmetics."

Lavera products have been tested over 350 times since June of 1994 and received over 320 “Very Good” reviews. We’ve listed some of the products with recent “Good” and “Very Good” reviews here.
