Participants of these workshops, which are led by licensed aestheticians, learn about healthy alternatives for feeling beautiful, using the non-toxic Lavera skin care and cosmetics donated for the session. Our chemical-free product lines offer safe alternatives for those struggling with health issues. Because chemotherapy and radiation cause damage to healthy cells, as well as cancer cells, physical changes often show up in the skin. These changes may include partial or total hair loss, thin shiny skin, flaky, irritated, itchy, red, or hypersensitive skin. It is important to use beauty products free from harmful or harsh ingredients that can cause further irritation and health complications. Skin care and cosmetics made with natural, nourishing ingredients will support, heal, and protect the skin and cell structure.
The body absorbs up to 60% of what is applied to the skin, which then enters the bloodstream. Harmful ingredients absorbed through the skin can lead to health conditions and disease. Cosmetics and personal care products made without the use of harmful ingredients are a healthier choice over conventional products for both maintaining good health and preventing health issues and disease.
